The Watertown Land Trust and Watertown History Museum Branch Brook Trail hike was held Sunday, April 14. The skies threatened, but the brook was rushing, the walk was pleasant, and the hikers were trying to identify the many birds by their calls. “The beauty was shattered as six dirt bikes and an ATV came roaring down the trail even though the trail has signs ‘foot travel only’ and the law does not allow such machines on Connecticut state forest land,” Land Trust member Charles Schall wrote to the Town Times.
